the things you learn

Believe it.  It is friday night and we are watching a Pokemon episode on Netflix.  Why??  Tommy came home for a visit and was telling us that he has been watching some old Pokemon episodes because he remembers crying when he was younger (back in Secaucus) because he never woke up early enough before school to have time to watch his 'favorite show'!  (who knew?)  After we searched Apple TV to find a movie that we could all agree on, we were finally convinced by the Pokemon fan to watch an episode.  I have to say that Disney, PIxar and Universal are spending millions... billions.... to make their animated characters have such intricate and realistic movements and in contrast, the story here is told with simple flapping lips, jerky movements and funny high pitched voices.  And as we listen to the cute little voice of Pikachu, the 24-year-old becomes a 6-year-old again before my eyes. Thank you PIkaCHU!!
